Happy Daddy’s Day!

Woken up with coffee and cards in bed by my little ones. One card was also home made. Fantastic and cute. Should really get it uploaded (will do tomorrow).

Breakfast, then off to Wyvern Theatre to watch “The Tiger Who Came to Tea” with Kaelyn. Don’t think that Alex is able to sit still for 55 minutes yet, so he want with Mummy to do some shopping instead.

Rest of the day was spent moseying around at home, playing and organizing a few things in our house.

Great way to spend a Sunday and Fathers Day!

A day out!

Saturday was spent at Cotswold Wildlife Park just outside Burford. What a great time we had! Alex’ eyes just got bigger and bigger when we saw the various animals. Red Panda, Rhino, Camel, Oestrich, Emu, Lion, Tortoise, Penguin, Zebra, Cow (? not quite sure about the last one, but it was there! Maybe some internal program in raising their own big cat food?).

Other than all the animals and the birds we saw, there was also the train ride, the playground, the round-and-round, the food, the ice cream and the smiles and laughter…

In the end we ran out of time, so we are now looking at when we can get back to do it all again (and probably run out of time again).

Fab place!

Work hard, Play hard….

It is long days for a 4-year old these days, and it is getting even worse later this year! Currently she has a couple of full days per week in nursery with her friends (+ one 1/2 day as well every week). In September though she is starting school and then it will be 5 full days for her!

Last year when we first moved here we didn’t get very far on this particular challenge at the Adventure Playground before we had to retreat. This year, no hesitation (from her side, the Daddy does his best to keep up)!

Work hard, play hard, it is all in a days work when you are 4!

Easter Sunday in the Park

The day started with an Easter Egg Hunt at home, both Kaelyn and Alex did very well and ended up with quite a collection. Kaelyn was also very good in sharing the loot with her little brother, rather than taking it all herself.

We then continued up to the hotel, met the Easter Bunny and did another Easter Egg Hunt. Another good loot secured, we headed home.

Afternoon spent in the park. Firstly we had a nice picnic, then we played and played and played and played…

Chocolates helped; every time energy levels dipped, we took out some of the loot!

Happy Mothers Day!

‘God could not be everywhere, so He created Mothers’ (Jewish proverb)

It might just be the first time that Kaelyn have been helping one of us (mum or dad) to do pressie shopping and not telling the receiving party what we have bought….

Today we went into town to get a the necessary details for Mothers Day, and I did tell her that she should not tell Mummy about it. All day long I have been waiting for this shopping spree to be announced to the Mummy, but no…..

So surprise, surprise…. Mummy don’t have to act as it was a complete surprise in the morning!

Happy Mothers Day!
