Making ‘rosinboller’

After a lazy afternoon, the day gained some speed (literally) when we went to do some tobogganing with Lukas (Ruben, Thore and Randi joined in the fun too….).

Today’s new trick was the one going down the steep hill without the toboggan, just sliding down (see the previous post where you can see a little film clip of our two “dare devils” at full speed)… Good fun, but little feet got very tired from climbing up again after sliding down! A cup of hot chocolate always does the trick to get the energy back!

Then, to finish off the afternoon, it was time to do some baking. Rosinboller (raisin buns) with and without raisins was rolled out (some more than others) and we should be self sufficient with rosinboller for a couple of days (they are Yum-Yum and Daddy likes them , so probably not more than two days….).

+4 today here in our part of Norway. Felt like a proper little Norwegian heat wave! Hats and scarfs almost not needed!

Easter is over!

Our two little delights are growing up fast. There are times when peace reigns and all is well. Kaelyn shares and looks after her little brother who listens and does exactly as the big sister commands…

Then there are times when the two parties needs the UN to come in and negotiate peace following major fall outs and disagreements. UN does not arrive on the scene, however, Mummy does and most times it all gets sorted out fairly efficiently….

Easter is behind us, still some chocolate left due to an over eager Easter Bunny wanting to impress the little ones. Yesterday the whole day was spent with Daddy and Colchester Zoo was the destination, followed by some running around in the Arena at work and then McDonald’s for dinner. Today we have been at home all day. No major fights, a couple of smaller bumps and bruises (as expected with a 2 1/2 year old in the house….) The trampoline has been actively used while the garden got a little bit attention from the grown ups.

Normality returns from tomorrow, with school, Under 5’s and what have you… Before we know it, summer will be here….

Happy Easter

Easter is just about as big as Christmas is in our little house! Pressies at one and Chocolates at the other. Both firm favorites with our little two.

This Easter Sunday we had our 4th Easter Egg Hunt, first one in Essex, and the first one where Alex is old enough to get into it for full.

Also the first one where the Chief Egg Hunter is old enough to share equally (ish) with the Second Egg Hunter and they did end up with the same amount of loot in the end.

Sugar rush followed quickly there after! Happy Easter!

Hello, I am Alex!

If you don’t know me, you might just think I am the best looking little boy in the world and that I must be extremely well behaved…

Sorry to let you down, but I am a little monkey! I like to climb on the furniture and jump down (the higher the better, daddy will normally catch me anyway!). I like to play with my big sister (it does often end in tears, some times mine and sometimes hers…. But we do have lots of fun!). I can eat and eat and eat (I am a growing boy you know). I am getting very good with the football though! Keep an eye out for the latest footie movie that Daddy made the other day!

I am a Monkey, but a very adorable and good looking little Monkey!

Happy Daddy’s Day!

Woken up with coffee and cards in bed by my little ones. One card was also home made. Fantastic and cute. Should really get it uploaded (will do tomorrow).

Breakfast, then off to Wyvern Theatre to watch “The Tiger Who Came to Tea” with Kaelyn. Don’t think that Alex is able to sit still for 55 minutes yet, so he want with Mummy to do some shopping instead.

Rest of the day was spent moseying around at home, playing and organizing a few things in our house.

Great way to spend a Sunday and Fathers Day!

Happy Mothers Day!

‘God could not be everywhere, so He created Mothers’ (Jewish proverb)

It might just be the first time that Kaelyn have been helping one of us (mum or dad) to do pressie shopping and not telling the receiving party what we have bought….

Today we went into town to get a the necessary details for Mothers Day, and I did tell her that she should not tell Mummy about it. All day long I have been waiting for this shopping spree to be announced to the Mummy, but no…..

So surprise, surprise…. Mummy don’t have to act as it was a complete surprise in the morning!

Happy Mothers Day!
